Welcome to Our Practice

Better Tomorrow Counseling specializes in psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, teens and children. We strive to create a safe and secure therapeutic environment to help you recognize your resilience, grow your self-worth, learn what it means to love yourself and how, improve your relationships and increase the overall quality of your life.

Individual

Oftentimes, due to various events in your journey, certain aspects of life feel harder to handle than others. When we define ourselves by our struggles we tend to place emphasis on negative events that support our problem-saturated stories. Individual counseling empowers you to view yourself from a perspective that is more open to positive changes. With this new perspective, you feel more capable to transform your negative thought patterns and behaviors into a successful life story that reflects who you are and what your purpose is.

Couples

Part of being human is experiencing emotional difficulties when our needs are not being met. How we handle these difficulties in a relationship is crucial as to whether or not we can have a healthy partnership. Couples therapy helps you and your partner comfortably express your needs, worries, concerns, and issues in regards to your relationship. Common areas of concern addressed in couples therapy include issues with money, parenting, sex, infidelity, in-laws, chronic health issues, infertility, gambling, substance abuse, emotional distance, and frequent conflict.

Kids and Teens

Children and adolescents are susceptible to the same emotional health concerns and mood disorders that trouble adults. Teens can benefit from meeting with a therapist to talk about a variety of topics ranging from relationship issues, anxiety, depression, school difficulties,
risky behaviors, low self-esteem, and questions about sexual identity. Counseling aims to help children and teens work through their emotions, so they can live normal healthy lives without the lasting effects of fear, confusion, stress, or trauma.

Families

Life stressors take a toll on everyone in the family unit. When issues and conflicts are left unresolved, they can feel overwhelmed and spiral the family into a crisis state. When families face difficulties that seem too challenging to resolve independently, they may seek help from a family therapist. In family therapy, the focus is on relationships that make up the family unit. The goal of family therapy is to facilitate healthy communication and improve family members’ relationships and functioning. This process allows the family members to reconnect with one another and deepen their sense of connection and love.
